Although a boudoir is exciting and fun, I have seen many of my clients in Houston saying, “Actually, I am a little scared about being naked (partially or fully) in front of a stranger, especially with a camera!” Well, I understand and agree that it’s normal to feel nerve-wracking while in front of the camera for professional boudoir photography in Houston for the first time!
But don’t feel nervous anymore! And just follow these tricks I have nailed down here. It will definitely make you feel comfortable and at ease throughout the boudoir photo session. Let’s get started:
Make sure you feel comfortable with the boudoir photographer you choose:
Maybe you have heard it before: Sometimes, you meet someone and feel instantly clicked, Right? So, make sure you get the same feeling with the boudoir photographer you’re going to work with. After all, the first step to feeling comfortable during a boudoir photography session is to trust your photographer. For this, you can try to get to know that person a little, like chatting, hanging out, or grabbing drinks.
Be sure you understand your photographer’s guidance regarding posing:
Not every boudoir photographer is good at directing clients with posing! But if you are a newbie to a professional boudoir photography session or a little shy, you may expect your photographer to guide you.
And for that, always choose someone who knows to guide clients to pose for a boudoir. If you ask, almost everyone will say YES, but I say- You better read their testimonials and see their previous works on Instagram.
Take a tour of the studio:
The boudoir studio plays a great role when it comes to comfort! So, before the photo session, you better take a tour to ensure you feel at ease posing in that ambiance.
For instance, I provide a neutral space for boudoir sessions with no distracting backdrop- Just soft bedding, florals, candles, flowy fabrics, beautiful chairs, and velvet stools to enhance your poses and focus only on the stunning subject that’s YOU! You can see the pictures of my studio on Facebook!
Hopefully, you love these ideas! And do I need to mention you have to wear an outfit that not just flatters you but makes you feel comfortable during the boudoir photoshoot? And while looking for a professional boudoir photographer in Houston, contact me!
